Bitcoin’s $64,000 floor and corporate accumulation

MicroStrategy sets the benchmark

MicroStrategy holds 845,050 Bitcoin. The firm bought 4,603 Bitcoin for $370 million on August 31, 2026. This transaction brings total holdings to $63.727 billion. I see this constant buying as the main reason a floor exists.

The company owns 3.9% of all Bitcoin.

The firm maintains an average acquisition cost of $75,537 per coin. MicroStrategy also bought 3,273 Bitcoin for $255 million on April 27, 2026, at an average price of $77,906. These moves demonstrate a pattern of accumulation despite market swings. I find the massive scale of these treasury shifts to be the most important factor for institutional followers to track. The latest acquisition extends the company’s position beyond the holdings of BlackRock’s iShares Bitcoin Trust, which holds approximately 802,823 BTC. In April 2026, the firm purchased 34,164 Bitcoin for $2.54 billion. In March 2026, the company purchased 22,337 Bitcoin for $1.568 billion. The company’s Bitcoin Yield metric reached 9.6% for the year.

Bitcoin levels and ETF flows

Bitcoin price action remains volatile. The asset recently lost the $63,380 support level. Support failed. This move puts the market in a position where it must reclaim $63,725 to prove a bullish recovery. You should watch the $63,900 level for immediate support. The market must also stay above the $63,300 to $63,320 bearish decision zone to avoid a deeper slide.

Prices fluctuate.

Asset August Inflow Total Assets
Bitcoin $3 billion Not specified
Solana $170 million $1.5 billion
XRP $150 million $1.5 billion

Demand rises. Solana ETFs reached $1.5 billion in total assets by late August. Solana benefits from strong network activity and staking economics. XRP funds collected $110 million between August 24 and August 28, 2026. XRP ETF assets entered September near $1.5 billion. Bitcoin currently trades in a tight range between $63,863 and $64,176. Resistance clusters near $64,700, with the $65,000 mark just above. A break below $63,900 could accelerate selling toward the next support shelf. Demand for Bitcoin ETFs includes products from BlackRock, Fidelity, and Grayscale. August saw a session with more than $200 million in outflows before demand returned on August 31. This August rebound helped Bitcoin climb toward $80,000. The value of globally invested assets surpassed $200 trillion by the end of 2024, with cryptocurrencies representing $3 trillion of that total.

Regulatory hurdles and debt

MicroStrategy manages an enterprise analytics and AI software business. Its flagship platform, Strategy One, combines AI tools with business intelligence infrastructure. However, the core software business produces only modest growth. The company also faces new tax burdens. The Inflation Reduction Act of 2022 created a 15% Corporate Alternative Minimum Tax on corporations with high adjusted financial-statement income. Because Bitcoin prices reached $125,000 in October 2025, the fair value changes on the balance sheet impose CAMT liability in 2026.

The U.S. Senate faces a procedural test regarding the CLARITY Act on September 15. A successful vote moves market-structure legislation forward. Failure reduces the chances of progress during 2026. Fund issuers need clarity regarding how regulators classify underlying tokens. Clearer definitions between securities and commodities could simplify product development and encourage issuers to expand beyond existing products. Many institutions require clear compliance frameworks before making meaningful allocations.

MicroStrategy faces significant financial pressure. The company owes $2.405 billion on four financings. When Bitcoin prices dropped to $18,300 in the past, the total value of the collection fell to just $85 million, which provided only a 3.5% margin over the debt the company owed. I find the reliance on debt during periods of high volatility to be a massive risk to the company’s solvency.

Will the CLARITY Act pass?

MicroStrategy’s performance remains intrinsically linked to Bitcoin’s price.
